Gas production

The basis of the strategy of Yuzhno-okhteurskoe refinery in the development of promising fields is economic efficiency, determined by the synchronous development of gas production capacities and the possibilities of its transportation, complex processing and storage.

In order for the well to give gas, it is enough to open it, but high-flow wells cannot be fully opened, with free gas flow, there may be:

the destruction of the formation and the borehole,

the flooding of the well due to the inflow of reservoir water,

the energy of the gas located in the reservoir under pressure will be irrationally consumed.

Therefore, gas consumption is limited, for which a fitting (local narrowing of the pipe) is usually used, which is most often installed on the well head. The daily working flow rate of wells ranges from tens of m3 to several million m3.

Natural gas production:

extraction of gas from the subsurface,

collection of extracted gas,

accounting and preparation for transportation to the consumer,

operation of wells and ground equipment.

The development of the gas field is carried out by the gas industry, which is a complex farm located on a large territory.

In the medium-scale gas field, there are 10,000 wells, which are located on an area of hundreds of km2.

The main technological tasks of the gas field:

ensuring the planned operation of wells,

collecting gas from wells,

accounting for it,

preparation for transportation (separation of solid and liquid impurities from gas, condensate of heavy hydrocarbons, gas drying and purification from hydrogen sulfide, the content of which should not exceed 2 g / 100 m3).

In 2020, Yuzhno-okhteurskoe refinery produced (excluding the share in the production of organizations, investments in which are classified as joint operations):

501.5 billion cubic meters of natural and associated gas;

12.5 million tons of gas condensate;

438.2 million tons of oil.
